Fizz does not have Wi-Fi calling so that just isn't available. For VoLTE, you need to have the new SIM card with the red lightning bolt and a compatible phone. Maybe your phone is not on the list?

I'm on Android 14 Beta 4 and I see it in: Settings -> Network & internet -> SIMs -> Fizz The setting is there and is toggled on, but is greyed out so I can't change it.

I just purchased a phone yesterday and during the check out process it offered me the option of using the $100 off perk to use. Once clicked, it deducted the price by $100 and it even is listed in the invoice. If that didn't work for you, you will need to go through support to try to address this issue.

I just received the e-mail today. Says that I will be converted within the next 48 hours. I've been with Fizz since November 2018.

I can receive texts and calls. Making a call seems to work, but sending text fails. Data is down.

Can I suggest you reach directly to Google? They might be able to help you since the phone is new and the warranty is with them in the end.

Hey @SLY Do you have a ad blocker or a custom DNS setting? Turn that off and that should fix your issue.

Sorry, there is nothing to turn on for voice/text roaming. Roaming toggle is only for data. Take a look at this: https://crtc.gc.ca/eng/phone/mobile/trav.htm Turn off data roaming. You probably want to turn off roaming as you don't want to use data while in India.

No need for an international add-on to receive SMS. You do if you want to send out SMS or use data.

When you signed up for your plan, there would have been a space for you to enter the referral code. Take a look here: https://fizz.ca/en/faq/how-do-i-invite-friends-to-join-fizz and check out step 3 on where to put that code in.

In Canada, you can call US or Canadian numbers. In US, you can call US or Canadian numbers. In Canada and US, your data will be available if you turn on roaming. Texting to international numbers. Receiving calls is included.

First question, if you click on the message, does it download? If yes, then it is most probably because you are roaming. Check your settings in your SMS app. There should be a setting that allows you to "Auto-download MMS when roaming".

Your account number is available in the "Manage plan" page. So just like Mike's steps, after step 3, you should see your phone number at the top and right below that is your Account ID (number).

What are you comparing the call quality to? Fizz does not have VoLTE and will switch back to the 3g network for voice calls. I haven't heard any difference between different carriers when using their 3g network. VoLTE does sound crisper.

I have Canada+USA Coverage and it allows me to: * use my minutes+sms+data while I am in Canada or in the USA (not Puerto Rico) * no long distance charges to call a number in Canada or in the USA So basically, the answers to all of your questions (minus the definition one) is YES.

If you have Canada coverage, you can use your phone in Toronto. For data to work you need to enable roaming outside of Quebec. Since Fizz is prepaid, I just leave roaming on all the time since I won't get charged extra with my wallet empty.

The Nexus 5 uses a micro sim card and the Pixel uses a nano sim card. Luckily the Fizz sim card is a multi sized card. Just pull it out of your Nexus 5, push our the nano part of the sim card and put it in your Pixel. You should be good to go, but may have to adjust your APN settings.

You can definately use the mobile data service with your tablet. Just configure you plan without minutes, texting, or voicemail. Look at the attachement, it will cost you $18 for 2GB of data in Quebec coverage without voice mail, text, or minutes.

You do not need roaming to be turned on for text messaging to work. The roaming option is only for data. But Fizz is prepaid so even if you had roaming on, you will not be charged anything more. Receiving texts anywhere in the world will remain free and does work. I have received text messages in US, Peru, and Belize over…
