You're not the only one as listed below. Probably last night's high winds caused issues in a network relay serving your place but powered by Hydro-Quebec.
A mod (Whizz) wrote earlier today (source translated below) that Fizz cannot know the service estimated retoration time because they depend on Hydro-Quebec.
Fizz is aware of the problem and is working to resolve it in order to restore the situation as soon as possible. It is quite possible that your area has a power outage where the power outage is still present preventing your connection from working because the entire network needs electricity to operate.
Fizz advises to perform a restart of your modem and within 4 hours, to check if the connection is working. Otherwise and if the connection still does not work they advise to restart your modem again within 2 hours because the situation concerning the power cut will be treated by Hydro-Québec however Fizz does not have a precise resolution time to indicate to you.

May be a good idea to contact Fizz to let them know, so they can know the specific location. Some repairs being done are for specific regions and a single repair can bring back many connections. However, they are some which are specific to individual homes (ie: from the pole to your home), so if they don’t know, they may not get addressed.

· Wait 3 seconds for the green bubble with a '?' appears at the bottom right of the browser, if you use a phone you must use it in desktop or horizontal mode

· If the green bubble does not appear make sure your ad blocker is disabled, otherwise try with another browser.
PS: For me the only combination that works for CHAT, is Firefox, in a private window, and only when in the French language..

- Look bottom right for the big ❔ question mark in a green bubble.
- Click it, options will be displayed
- Choose "💬 Chat"
- Note: the bubble will only display the chat for a computer version. If you are on a cell phone, you must check "Desktop site" in your browser settings.
- Submit your question with possibly a relevant screenshot or modem photo
- After that will be displayed the number of customers preceding you, to manage your expectations. Updated real time.

Very often you have problems

Unfortunately, here we are only users like yourself, and not much we can do. I can only imaging how frustrating it can be. I guess I have been lucky, I've been with Fizz for 3 months and have had no issues since the beginning. Even last night when the power went out, all my switches/access points/router and Fizz modem are on UPS devices, so I still had internet service for at least 1.5 hours into the power failure. Eventually my batteries were depleted, so obviously it went out :)

Why Fizz/Videotron never posts outage maps when their internet is down? All I see on Fizz's page is "Our services are all fully functional." This is frustrating...

I completely agree with you. The service status page should be updated.
However right now, any service which uses hanging lines outside (Hydro, Videotron, Bell, etc..) are all having issues. Bell's network is not immune either. Unfortunately, some areas got hit harder than others.
All utility companies are presently scrambling to repair the outages.

Je n'ai pas d'Internet non plus. J'habite à repentigny. Il y a environ deux mois, c'est arrivé la même chose et en plus durant ma journée de travail.
J'ai besoin l'internet pour travailler et comment je vais faire encore une fois.
Le service de fizz est vraiment pas bon et je suis tannée que je vais finir par partir avec Bell.

Pas nécéssairement plus rose chez Bell. Les grands vents ont affecté plusieurs fournisseurs de services.
