Power outages: free mobile data until midnight tomorrow.
Hi everyone,
Winter is making a spectacular exit, to say the least. The ice storm left many of you without power and we hope all is well.
If you need your mobile data, whether it’s to keep in touch or check on the status of outages, don’t hold back. For all our members, data will not be counted until midnight tomorrow. In other words, the mobile data used between today, April 6, 1 pm, and tomorrow April 7, 11:59 pm will not be deducted from your mobile plan.
Be safe and see if you can give a hand around you💚

What about Internet customers whose mobile LTE service is provided by Bell, Telus, Rogers, etc.? I have 6 GB/month with Bell and running out already as of April 7th (something that never happened in the last two years and totally caused by this Internet interruption)..?

Nice gesture, however, I live in the West Island of Montreal and had no data from Wednesday afternoon until around early Friday morning, my phone service has also been spotty with me not being able to originate calls.

Yeah I just checked mine and there was a surge but it seems accurate. Good tip!! I’ll check again Sunday to make sure

I appreciate this but we're nearing the end of the free mobile data period and many of us still do not have internet service.
I think it would be appropriate to extend it for the people who are still without internet access. According to a poster above, there are companies giving free data for much longer.

Seems like I'm still at 0 mg used today (April 8th), even tho I'm writing this. Either they changed their mind or I'll have a nice little surprise at the end of the month 😅

Would be nice if it can be confirmed. I need the internet for work, was able to tether my phone data to my desktop and worked til 11pm trying to get as much done as I could.

Just checked my usage... 0mb used yesterday but 8mb used today... Will check later today and see if it goes up

Unfortunately I completely missed this and rationed my data, but thank you Fizz for this nice gesture. At least what little I did use didn't count :D
