This isn't really that generous given that it's now Sunday 9th and power has not been restored in many areas of Montreal. My data service just got cut entirely even though I have no internet and no power at home and don't expect to have it back for a few days. Most other telecomms companies are waiving charges for the entire month or at least for the next week. Fizz should be extending this until Friday of next week at the very least.

Au 9 avril, nous n'avons toujours pas internet avec vidéotron. Nous ne savons pas quand ce sera de retour. Ce serait vraiment apprécié que l'on ne soit pas restreint dans nos données afin que l'on puisse fonctionner en attendant.

Well it's now April 10th and I'm on my fifth day of an outage and the third day since my phone data cut out. Getting a straight answer out of customer service about this policy is impossible. Why didn't Fizz at least email or text people about this policy? Why haven't they extended it? Sorry but Friday at midnight was not sufficient, it feels like Fizz wants the credit for "doing something" but doesn't actually want to help. Extending the data policy a couple of days would have hugely helped many of us who are affected by the outages.
