Text from fizz about roaming in USA. Should I be worried?
I have two plans with fizz with USA and Canada coverage.
When I crossed the border today, I got the following text.
"UNITED STATES OF AMERICA (+ US VIRGIN ISLANDS, PUERTO RICO): the phone on your account associated with the number (xxx) xxx-xxxx connected to a roaming network. A message was sent to this person so they are aware of their options should they wish to use their phone while travelling. Affordable Travel add-ons are available starting from $5.00 for 1 GB of data, $3.00 for 60 minutes or $5.00 for 200 text messages, as well as the option to add coverage for that country for future trips."
Is this a standard text now regardless of the plan? Or is there something I need to do? I don't want to be charged for using data and minutes while traveling.

Check if you have money in your wallet. If not, you don't need to worry. Either it works (from your CAN+US coverage) or it doesn't, in which case you will have to contact Fizz, because that would clearly be wrong. But under no circumstances would you be charged automatically for travel add-ons. Such addons always have to be manually ordered from the Fizz website.
Money in your wallet, however, will be used up without warning. As I recently had to experience when my Ontario-only plan connected to Québec towers even though I was in downtown Ottawa.

I can't speak specifically about Fizz as I haven't yet travelled to the US since joining Fizz, but I had a Canada-US plan with a previous provider. That provider sent me a similar message when I crossed over to the US, but nothing extra was charged to me when I used my plan there. It may be a standard message.

Thank you. I don't have money in the wallet and both lines work. I just wasn't sure if I would be surprised with a bill later. I have traveled to USA before with this plan but never received a text upon crossing the border

In that case you should have no extra fees.
The message is probably just a generic message.I always get a sms from Fizz when I cross the border but I never bothered to read the whole message.
I have a Canada US plan and have never been charged any extra fees.
