This is great. But how easy will it be to transfer the eSIM from one phone to another? Will we need to contact fizz to do it? Physical SIMs seem to be easier to move around between phones.

Exactly in this situation at the moment, trying to move my service (using an eSIM) to a new phone.0 -
Thank you, Fizz! It makes managing your data and phone plan even easier.

We just got eSim, works well.
My question is how can I find out the actual eSim number? Just thinking to move to new phone.0 -
Nice. Let us know how the transfer works. Very curious about that.

I wonder who uses an esim adapter with the Fizz esim?

that's great!

I didn't know eSims were a thing. Does it work well?0

I would personally advise against using an eSim from Fizz at this time. Because there is no easy option yet from Fizz to transfer an eSim profile from one phone to the next. Whereas with a physical SIM card, you can just plug the SIM card from one phone to the next without even having to involve Fizz.
I'm sure Fizz is working on this and will resolve this at some point, but for the time being, you would be better off with a physical SIM card.

I wonder why you would want to do that while Fizz is offering physical SIM cards?
I've been playing around with some of these eSim adapters using eSim profiles other than Fizz. They work more or less, but there are no guarantees. Some even list certain eSim profiles known not to work. Also, they all require a fully-featured (as in not low-cost) Android phone to load and configure eSim profiles, Android phones that feature the full Android APIs, phones with Android Go or other limited Android versions do not work. You also can't rely on the app(s) telling you whether your phone is compatible for setup, I have one (low-cost) Android phone where the apps all say "compatible" and yet it is not (with any of them). Iphones can't be used for setup. However, once an eSim profile is loaded, you can of course use the eSim adapter on any phone with that loaded profile.
If you are willing to experiment, you can try. But then in the case of Fizz, why would you?

Agreed! Stick with a physical SIM for now—eSim transfers aren’t seamless yet, and Fizz is still working on it. A physical SIM makes switching phones much easier. 👍📱

That's great news! eSIM technology makes it so much easier to activate and switch plans without waiting for a physical SIM card. This will be especially useful for people traveling to Canada or new residents setting up their mobile service quickly.0 -
Can somebody tell how can i get this esim in Canada0

Great news Fizz! Thanks
Can we do dual Fizz SIM and eSIM on our phones if dual SIM setup is supported?0 -
Yes you can, however, at the moment the eSIM is limited, for example we cannot transfer the SIM to an eSIM and we cannot transfer the eSIM to a new phone at the moment, you need to replace the eSIM with the physical SIM

Awesome! Thanks for letting me know.
