Remember that Fizz is the Videotron flanker brand. They exist in order to compete with Videotron competition without forcing Videotron to change pricing. For customer's with higher expectations and needs, Fizz does not have an incentive to help because Videotron can still serve those people, and they are not as price…

This question needs to be closed. It's not answered, but the perk expired last year.

This is going to require some assistance from Fizz directly. Can't image you can do much from your phone. Contact them and explain. They may recommend that you change your number. Normally, I'd say contact them from this page, but it may not be working at present: https://fizz.ca/en/solutions/technical-issues

In spite of what is mentioned regarding the inability to transfer VoIP numbers, I have done this twice. First time was transferring a number from a VoIP provider to Videotron. Second time was transferring that same Videotron number to Fizz. Note that at least once a cloud service refused to accept the number as a cell…

A lot of phones support dual SIMs. This includes just about everything from Xiaomi.

I have spare 1GB Perks, but these require your phone number and can not be gifted using a referral code. Message your phone number directly to me and let me know how much you need.

Check this site for the information you seek: https://www.frequencycheck.com/ I've had several Xiaomi phones myself. They work on Videotron infrastructure. There are a couple of bands that they don't support, but this is not a problem unless you live in certain other provinces. Again, the frequency check website can…

The message may not be offensive, but it is misleading and has confused at least one elderly friend who is a client. It didn't help that the phone did not work in the US, even though they had a US+Canada plan, so the two things together create a perfect storm of angst and frustration. I paid for it. It's not working. Now…

I missed a field and had this issue. I forget the field that I missed, but I remember that it blended into the background.

So the problem arises when you have multiple accounts—which you can't merge—and you want to use a perk from one for a plan in the other. The perk comes with no obligations besides that it must be used on the current account. The obligations come with the 'discounted' phone prices. And in case anyone wonders why you might…

And if I just buy a phone without the perk, does that have limitations? If I give the phone to a friend, or walk to another provider with it, will I suddenly discover some clawback?

Kimovil almost always has the information that you are looking for. https://www.kimovil.com/en/where-to-buy-samsung-galaxy-s20-fe

Helpfully, while the ? appears and shows the options when you click on it, the Chat function does not work. Clicking on Chat does not have any effect, nor does Messenger, though the other two go to the relevant pages.

This is not a placebo. It's a nocebo. If you are talking about Wi-Fi 5G as in home Internet, then please don't disable it. It's been around for a decade and is far less crowded than 2.4GHz spectrum which is the older standard. I've attached an image of typical 2.4GHz spectrum in an urban environment. It's a mess. In…

I'm also hearing other reports of Error 38. Any description of the error that could point to the cause?

Before you get it fixed, you should see if there are any useful features that you can grandfather in before. Who knows, maybe their prices will be from 2019 too.

Thank you for your comment Orenda. It appears that (to date) the only people who received the 2GB mobile data perk were those who could not use it. If a $40 perk isn't going to entice you to get a phone, I don't see why they would think a 2GB perk would. So I echo your plea, please Fizz Gods, give us a usable reward! Like…

I can gift perks only from account that have phone data (so far). It's frustrating. And the question I submitted to customer service on the issue has been open for 10 days. Too much 'I guess' going around. Too little 'here is where it's written.'

Wired through a device performing fq_codel QoS, I see the full 120/20 with 9ms ping. I could probably push it towards 134/22, at the risk of more variable latency. The best way to check latency is with dslreport speedtest. http://www.dslreports.com/speedtest/69871089 The BufferBloat measurement will tell you how variable…

I assume that your system clock is not off by a few years. This looks like a technical fault that needs a bug report via the contact '?' links.
-
How much are you paying for that? And can you gift me a couple hundred GB next month? ;)
-
This advice won't help now but may in future: Consider increasing your data plan to a much larger number for a month (for example 9GB) and then immediately decrease to a lower number (for example 1GB). You'll have 12GB over three months, 4GB per month, but will have it all available immediately and be able to adjust your…

I looked at their selection and then looked elsewhere. Eventually bought another Xiaomi. That brand has worked well for me for years but it's outside most people's familiarity. Used swiftronics.ca
-
It's almost a certainty that it will work, given this information from Kimovil.
-
That seems to be the pattern. If there is anyone with both mobile and Internet plans, who also got the perk, I'd like to hear about it.

Fizz is a Videotron flanker brand just like Koodo for Telus or Fido for Rogers. It allows them to offer a cheaper product to price conscious customers without cannibalizing their own customer base. They set it up in a way that caters to younger people. So customer service is online, no voice, and to keep the cost conscious…

Why not simply offer the service of emailing the audio file to the address of your choice? It's a no app, no limit, no need to check voicemail solution. It's possible via forwarding to a VoIP number for less than the cost of Fizz Voicemail, but that's a hassle. Fizz could do it easily. Why don't they?

Q: Can anyone who is not already a Fizz member see these message boards? Let's test this. Q: Has anyone who is not already a Fizz member seen this? If yes, then here is a friend's referral code who could use the support : 22K5S Nota: It's not my referral code. I'm good.

You should be able to gift data between phones if they both have active data plans. Even in the same account. But if you have minimal or episodic data needs, consider turning off data entirely for the least used phone and relying on the 500MB & 250MB Perks available at Level 2 and above. That reduces your cost far more…
