Hello

I have tried every cellular provider out there but always keep coming back to fizz.
I got the $5 base plan over an year ago as a backup sim, I have transitioned to using it as my primary sim along with fongo and voip.ms for calling. It has given me better value than any other plan out there. I used to have freedom's $20 3GB postpaid plan with 100 minutes of outgoing calling. I also tried the public mobile $20 60GB plan that was available briefly earlier this year. Between constant data throttling with public mobile and poor reception due to Telus ripping out Huawei radios I had enough.
Fizz is honestly the best provider available at this time in Canada.
I have always dreamed of being able to customize my plan to remove services I never use like SMS or ones I would rather supply myself like voicemail. Being able to manage it entirely from my computer without waiting on hold and being transferred back and forth between people that barely understand what I am asking about has been a breath of fresh air. And to all the providers and websites that shove their mobile applications down everyone's throats. Screw you. Thank you fizz for not doing that.
I wish everything including internet service, banking, insurance, and more could be ordered and managed the same way cellular service is offered by fizz.
I actively monitor CRTC public proceedings and voice my opinions. Sadly the CRTC isn't doing enough to improve telecommunications in Canada. The TPIA rates for fiber to the premises are still a joke. On the cable side, Rogers is still taking their sweet time with docsis 4 rollouts. I has been almost two years since docsis 4 trials started in Calgary.
Hopefully fizz can offer competitive internet service in western Canada soon. For people in the eastern parts with fizz internet, how is the service like? I have read mixed reviews on reddit. Some people had horrible experiences and others are very happy.

Hey, Quebec/Montreal here. We are happy with Fizz for our mobile plans and also our internet plan. It is pretty stable and we only have very few outages per year, usually in the hours after midnight (either maintenance or updating the firemware of the model, I guess).

I agree, it's amazing how customizable Fizz's plans are compared to other providers.

I have been using Fizz Internet since January and it works well.

    Hello @computerguy ,

First of all , I would like to thank you for your kind words regarding on what`s your personal experience with Fizz.

We do offer a lot of customization options, data can roll-over if you don`t use it and some gifted perks are really spot on for some users. ( to give some examples ).
We`ve also added requested features like 5G and VoWiFi ( although the latter is still under development for more devices )
There`s no fixed contract also with us.
While I can`t give an exact opinion on the internet service ( as some users might say that I am giving a positive note because of me working here ) , I can tell you that there haven`t been many issues at least related to the service not working.

On a personal note, there are some issues here and there but most of our users are quite satisfied ( if you check our reviews on our website https://fizz.ca/en/fizz-reviews you`ll see that you can agree with me ).

To end the conversation - thanks again for choosing Fizz as your provider :).

    Have a good one,
