Thank you for your post.
As @Mike RZMAX said earlier, to change your plan you must access your Fizz account, under My plans, manage my plan, change my plan. There you can customize the plan as you desire.
The order will be effective starting the next payment cycle as we are a prepaid service.

No, you don't need a new SIM card, you can continue to use your current SIM card.

A couple of things come to mind. Had you clicked or tapped to change your plan or had you accidentally selected to add a new plan?
Or, if you're a long time Fizz customer, maybe you have an older SIM card that needs to be updated to VoLTE?1 -

Yes, you don't need a new SIM card.

Keep in mind there is a delay when you change your plan it won't work right away it's going to be on the next cycle.
