How long does probation last
New member joined just over a week ago.
I am wondering how long the forum probation for new members lasts.

Hi @BeakBird
Usually couples of weeks

I believe that is around one week, as it was in my case.

I couldn't find this information anywhere in Fizz website, but as other users reported here in the forum, it should last 1-2 weeks

You can get 50 points for every best answer you give.

What is forum probation?

Posts from new member will be flagged for moderation, and we are able to see only after the @Whizz approved them. Usually this status last for couples of weeks

Exactly, it's about 3-4 days.

It's been 11 days so far.
It's just strange to ask or answer questions if they are delayed by 1 day.
Kind of goes against the purpose of having a forum in the first place.
It's actually a lot more practical to go through the chat

This thing it's available only in the first days, but you can ask questions. Until they will approve the question you will be in measure to reply.

When you guys post something does it show up right away?
I assume that is how I will know probation is over.0 -
I think it might be over now.

Yes.
My last post showed up immediately.

that’s good information for new members, thanks for sharing

there is apparently a waiting time between 1 and 3 weeks
0 -
Definitely. I wish I could have known at the beginning. You post something and you think you messed up because you don't see it so you repost the same information.

right 😂 well now i know even if it’s too late, at least i’ll share the info to members that need to know

It's good to get the post back up the list.

yes. It gives it more visibility

I think that the probation should be mentioned in the FAQ somewhere.
As in "When you join the community hub, you will be subject to a probation period during which your posts will be verified by a moderator before being posted. This will result in a delay between the moment you post and the moment it becomes visible on the community hub."

that is an awesome idea

It's what I would have liked to have read before starting to post.

I'm on probation? But I haven't done anything wrong1

I guess you can call it preventive probation 😀.

Probation may last a few weeks. In my case, it didn’t last long, but it was almost 3 years ago. I don’t know how Fizz manages that period right now…

It last about 4-5 days.

In your case? Seems short.

Definitely should be mentioned to new members. I'm a member of the forum with my Fizz account, and have only ordered a sim card, without a plan yet. However, my order was messed up and only received one sim instead of two. The waiting game is just unbearable and is a real turn-off, making me reconsider whether I want to actually join Fizz. Chat wait times for a response is usually hours, and this probation period where your posts are delayed makes it worse.0
