When I attempt to activate "WhatsApp", I am prompted for a an activation code that WhatsApp claims they sent to an i-message to my phone, but it never arrives. It is as if the Fizz parameters block the message. I went to the Apple store and upgraded my phone and installed my Fizz sim card. The Apple technical staff attempted to activate WhatsApp and it failed fro them. They said talk to Fizz.

Is there an option to do the verification code for whatsapp using a call instead? IIRC, when I reinstalled WhatsApp it showed both sms and call as the options.

You can try to activate the account with the sim on a different phone.

If not you can always contact the support team.
