How to resolve payment issue ordering SIM card online?

Has anyone else tried ordering a SIM card in recent days and had their payment method denied? I get a message reading "The transaction was denied. Please contact your financial institution or use another card."
There is nothing wrong with my credit card as I commonly use it (including to pay for the internet), I don't have another card, and customer support is unable to support me with the issue.

Try with another browser or another device otherwise contact customer support

Did you contacted the financial institution of the credit card
Sometime they block the first transaction

It is much faster if you buy it directly from one of the associated stores.

My (two) local associated stores were out of Fizz SIM cards. I was hoping it'd be easier getting one online, but nope...0 -
Even after ordering you might have a delay due to the delivery companies( situation seen on other Fizz clients).

I was able to pay for a Fizz internet plan (including installation), so this wouldn't be my first transaction. I also use the card often for other purchases and never encounter payment issues.0 -
