I can’t transfer my SIM card in my New phone
I bought a iPhone 14 at Bell (without a line) and I want to put my Fizz card into it and it refuses it . Why? What should I do?

Hi @Martinnnnn
All the phone sold in Canada are unlocked, therefore you should not have any problem
Can you try to enable the wifi, sometime the iPhone need to contact Apple server to be unlocked
You should also check if there are any Carrier setting updating pending (Settings > General > About)
What is the error that you have?

It says “the SIM card should be a Bell”

Contact Bell and ask to unlock the phone, on my knowledge it is illegal to lock the phones to a carrier.
Did you try to enable the wifi and connect to internet, after to insert the sim?

Did you initially put a Bell SIM card in?

According to apple:
You can find out if your iPhone is locked by going to Settings > General > About. If "No SIM restrictions" appears next to Carrier Lock, your iPhone is unlocked.

From the C RT C site
The Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission (CRTC) today announced that as of December 1, 2017, all individual and small business wireless service customers will have the right to have their cellphones and other mobile devices unlocked free of charge upon request. In addition, all newly purchased devices must be provided unlocked from that day forward.

Hello Martinnnnn,
Thank you for describing your situation to us.
Your phone is locked if it asks you to insert a SIM card from a specific provider, so you have to contact Bell or Apple to help you unlock the phone.
I hope you have a pleasant day!
