I am sorry to hear about this situation.
Rest assured that the fact you still have another internet connection doesn't affect the connection to the Fizz internet. There can be more connections from any provider in the same time at an address without affecting the Fizz one. However make sure you plug the Fizz modem as the VERT2 modem cannot connect to Fizz internet and Fizz cannot connect to VERT2. Other than that, when you plug the modem make sure the coaxial cable is well inserted into the coaxial outlet and modem.
