I think I'm being hacked with APN
My ex is hacking me since a while now...yesterday I received a text saying welcome to fizz I contacted customer service and asked why. they said something about my APN then I received 2 other texts this time not from fizz but directly on my screen telling me I'm about to configure MMS/ APN on my phone I clicked on cancel. My question is does anybody know what that may be and how I can prevent being further affected by this

I'm really sorry to hear about this situation, and we can assure you that we have no information about such hacking methods, therefore, as other members suggested on this post, we would advise you to change the password of your Fizz account, email address, and any other accounts that may have been compromised. We can also change the email address associated with your Fizz account, so you can use a whole new one, however, in order to do so, we will need you to reach us on the live chat, so we can authenticate you and make sure we are speaking with the owner of the account. Also, if you know that you did not request any APN settings, do not accept any of those notifications.

They seem to be the real one, but if you have any doubt, ignore them and configure the APN manually

If I did not go in my settings APN why am I receiving a text to configure APN

I did not initiate this I'm not new to fizz that's why I don't understand why I would get welcome message by text and why I have to configure. I think my ex is sim swapping he has been in my things for 2 years

Yes but the problem is I did not initiate this so is someone inside my fizz account I have a psycho ex and he's been in my thing since 2020

If you are new this will be sent automatically, to reduce people complaining that their internet doesn't work
I don't know if Fizz will send them, when it will detect a wrong configuration or a new phone

Login to your account and change your password as a precaution if you believe that your ex is doing something nasty.

There's no such thing as APN hacks, but you should definitely change any passwords and even login emails that might have been compromised. If the accounts offer 2 step authentication (like an email, SMS or one time code), that's even better for security.

wow. hacked with APN ! thats scarry. i am affraid too. i saw this APN somewhere on my phone display. i think is dangerous . very dangerous. so everybody take care !

Just don't press on install or okay I pressed on cancel to configure because it gives access to the hacker remotely. You will get this option in your notifications either ignore it or cancel it because they need your authorization to configure it. I think people may think it's an update so they just press okay and forget about it
