I am sorry for the situation encountered,
As of July 2022, only the LTE data network will be available in the United States. You will not be able to make or receive calls and text messages.
However, your data coverage will not be affected by this. You can stay in touch with your friends/family by using applications that use your data/WiFi such as FaceTime, Messenger, and WhatsApp.

Additionally, you will still be able to call from Canada, numbers that are in the USA, however, the numbers must not be from Fizz.

Which addon did you buy?
There is one to make long distance calls to US while you are within the coverage area of your plan.
There is a travel addon to be used while you are in US to make calls to Canada or US.

Some members cannot make/receive calls or send/receive texts or use mobile data. Our team is working to address the situation. Fizz apologizes for the inconvenience this may be causing you.

Under normal situations, have you tried restarting your phone?
Which phone model are you using? Make sure your phone software is up to date and your phone must be compatible with Fizz network - https://fizz.ca/en/faq/compatible-devices.
To use mobile data, make sure that the APN settings on your phone are correct - https://fizz.ca/en/faq/what-are-fizz-network-settings-apn
If you are outside of Quebec/Ottawa, make sure to enable the roaming option on your phone.
