- avoid chatting with Fizz so as not to overload customer service
- test your connection every 30 minutes until the problem is resolved
- start thinking about an alternative such as a neighbour's wifi or an internet café...

Quite disappointing that their Service Status page does not report it:
I am with another Videotron sub-contractor and my internet works fine since I do not use the ISP's DNS services (I use OpenDNS from Cisco).

It has indeed happened in the past DNS was the issue.
Unfortunately clients need to be tech-savvy to know how to resolve that.

Hello, same problem here and suggest several ways to re-connect. Either should work.
- turn on airplane mode and then turn off
- go to settings, disable the option to automatically connect to a network, the phone searches for networks, select Fizz/Videotron
- restart device

i see folks posting personal data online !!
maybe @Whizz should refrain them in such bad behaviour : awareness is key to prevent data leaks and disclosure of PII (Personal Identification & Information)
we have some users who may not be educated enough to avoid such bad practices. so Whizz, you should encourage your clients to not post any personal data online; a concise and clear explanation may help.
this is is in best interests of both side: fizz/clients
