Any video gamers here?
I would like to know if any of you are gamers. If so, which games do you play? Which gaming console do you own? If you use a PC, what are its specs? What is your opinion on cloud gaming services?
In fact, I just want to start a discussion on gaming in general. I am surprised to see that there are no posts on the subject on an internet provider community forum.
I will start by saying that I really like open world games, such as the GTA, Red Dead Redemption, Assassin’s Creed, Watch Dogs and Witcher series.
Unfortunately, I do not have a console right now, as I am unable to purchase one. In consequence, I use Google Stadia as a cloud gaming service. I really like it, even though it misses the great exclusives consoles have. In my case, it is effective as a “buffer” solution between the two console generations, as I can play most modern games as well as many classics on the go.
So, let’s discuss gaming!

I didn't play a game in years but I miss playing Elite Dangerous and EVE Online.

I was addicted to EVE Online for about a year. MMORPGs always had a special place in my heart. However, the management and direction of some of these games “killed” the genre for me, as there were many unannounced gameplay changes as well as patches that barely improved graphics but who stressed out my aging PC to unacceptable levels.

I wish I had more time to relax and play Minecraft. The nostalgia from my high school years would be a nice feeling.
I also used to play Civilization V, Skyrim and Fallout New Vegas (best Fallout game, not even a competition).
All on PC, I don't like consoles...

Finally! I knew I wasn’t the only one who believes Fallout New Vegas is the best Fallout game ever!

EVE was pretty easy on resources. I could even play it on my MacBook. I stopped playing because it got boring waiting for hours for a fleet to form. I did play for a bit solo but it wasn't as fun.
Maybe I should play again for a bit during my vacation 😄

It’s been long since I last played EVE… indeed, it became boring when the number of active players diminished…

Casual League of Legends player but I haven't played in a good while

On pc I play casual games like GW2.
On my ps4 right now i'm going through the souls game one by one, currently i'm at Bloodborne

I play a bit of everything, but my favourite genre is probably MetroidVanias. Had a lot of fun with Metroid Dread on Nintendo Switch recently.

Mostly RTS games. Big fan of the early Command n Conquers. But last few years got eaten up entire by Dota 2. Uninstalled it now and trying to detox it lol.

GW2, you mean Guild Wars 2? It’s still running?

My sons play Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, Fortnite, Rocket League, and the occasional Minecraft and Roblox. Also some games on Steam, but do not remember which ones.

Surprised by the lack of Halo Infinite answers in here!

I still play my old games from when I was a teenager... I play Guild Wars (the original one, not Guild Wars 2) and The Lord of the Rings online... I find the old mmorpg so relaxing to play.

They are really good games indeed!

Started playing Bravely Default 2 on Switch, I like it!

What type of game is this?

It's an RPG, kinda like Final Fantasy series. It's in a cartoonish style, but not necessarly for children :)

Is it true that PC gaming has changed so much in the last year that it is impossible to have an affordable gaming PC anymore?

Call Of Duty on PS4

My understanding is that covid, chip shortage and crypto miners make obtaining the latest graphic cards very difficult. And that is a critical component of any good gaming pc (for modern more demanding games at least).

I love video games, mostly Rim World and Oxygen not Included and I'll throw in the occasional cities skylines. :-)

I am a gamer as well, mostly on console (PS4)
Big Elden Ring fan! I would also recommend Nioh and Ghost of Tsushima

I am playing Elden Ring. It is really good but a bit overrated IMHO. I don't think it is the best game of all time like 90% of game critics seem to think.
Nioh is great, I love the fast-paced action.
Ghost of Tsushima is my favorite of the three. Yes, it is the easiest and not really a "Souls-style" game, but the overall gameplay is fantastic. I love it.

Long time gamer here, started on the Atari 2600 beating Frogger and Defender, graduated to Zelda on the 8-bit NES, afterwards a long break, got into the PS2 and 3 heavily and did some RPGs and strategy on the pc. Now mostly personal nostalgia: Baldur's Gate 2, Oblivion, Dragon Quest 8, Civilization 5 and Fallout 2 (and 3), Red Dead Redemption, etc...

I played a lot of R6 Siege back when I had Fizz has a Internet provider, so if anyone wonder if you got any lag or latency when playing online with Fizz internet, don't worry, I played Rank and got 0 issue.

Hi guys,
Anyone here got the Steam Deck or is going to have theirs shipped soon?
What's your take on it? Are you excited or curious about it?

Speaking of PC specs, I have an Intel i7 processor, 16GB RAM, and an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 graphics card. It's a pretty powerful setup that allows me to enjoy games at high settings and smooth frame rates. As for cloud gaming services, I think they have their pros and cons. I haven't personally tried Google Stadia, but I've used other cloud gaming platforms like GeForce Now and Xbox Cloud Gaming. They offer convenience since you can play games on multiple devices without the need for high-end hardware. It's especially useful when you're on the go or don't have access to a dedicated gaming setup. However, the quality and performance can vary depending on your internet connection, and there can be occasional latency issues.

I haven't being playing videogames in ages!

Same for me! I think the last game I played was Kill Zone 2 in like 2010…

I'm more into sports game like MLB The Show or NHL, but they're only available on consoles. I don't want a ps5 just for 2 games. I wish they would come to PC.

I played COD mobile for a while and for what it is, it was quite fun... too much challenging for eyes and hands though...

Gamer here as well.
Used to play FPS games like Call of Duty, Bioshock, etc. Now I am more into RPG games where you can create your character. In that aspect, Final Fantasy XIV(14) caught me by the throat as I've been playing for 5 years.
Though with the content drought we face I have been playing....Fortnite. Zero Build and Creative Maps though.
