May I only buy a phone?

I used Public Mobile for 10 years. My phone is old Motorola hyper one, my current phone isn't on the carrier's VoLTE whitelist, so since the 3G network shutdown, I can no longer make a call. I check online here has discound phone. First, I am thinking if I can buy a phone here and fit Public mobile sim card. Second, if the phone is not unlock, only for Fizz, I dont know how to transfer supplier. I am afraid Fizz platform, I cannot find any customer service here, at least PM has real person answer my questions.

    There real person, but only by chat. Phone are always unlock, if you want Fizz you can transfer your number, but need a Fizz SIM or free eSIM.

    I don't think, you can buy a phone only. It always has to be paired with a plan. However, once you have the phone, you can cancel the plan immediately, so that you only have to pay for one month of service. And you can pair with the cheapest possible plan, currently $10 in AB, BC and ON or $11 in QC.

    Phone will not be locked, as long as it is compatible with the other carrier, all you'd have to do is use/transfer their (e-)sim.

    Hi, it's no longer legal in Canada to sell locked phones.

    Support is only online through the support, on the forum with us volunteers, or privately later with the forum admin @Whizz .
