Why am I getting the error "message not sent: service not activated on network" when I have data

I have a ton of data available but am not able to send group texts. I keep getting the error "message not sent: service not activated on network". Why? What can I do?

I did this (held the power and up volume button) twice already and it didn't help. :(

Are you able to make calls?

Have you tried removing your SIM card and then reinserting it?

If that doesn't work, you can try resetting your phone's network settings.
