New house with no existing cable?

We have a new home with no existing cable. Was the technician supposed to install one and is there a fee? He just told me "how do you expect to use this without a connection? I can pass a cable, but you will receive an invoice and I don't know for what amount". I didn't want to be surprised with a large fee, so he just took the modem and left...What do I do now?♀️

Hi Valerie,
Since the technician already left, you should contact Fizz to confirm the cost of this installation if any.
To do so, first log into your Fizz account.
Make your way to the Solution Hub.
On the help page pertaining to your issue, click on the chat bubble located in the lower right-hand corner.
The chat service is available every day from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. EST. The chat bubble won’t appear outside of these business hours.6 -
Hello Valerie,
IF, Fizz does wire new houses, you could contact a cabling company like SC360. Of course, there would be a fee.6 -
If you can do it by yourself.. go! It's cheaper... and easier when you built a new house. Make sure to use RG6 cables. You can also install CAT7 cable everywhere... amazon is you friend.4
