500 minutes plan to Europe not working

There is a separate lock on long distance calls that might be stopping you. From the account overview page click Manage, then Advanced Parameters, and see if you have No international calls enabled.11

Thanks for trying to help, unfortunately no block is not enabled13

As you've seen, I have had the same issues with 1000 minutes to The Netherlands. I hope Fizz gets on this fast, but I'm not convinced they will. If you really need this kind of service ASAP, I suggest changing provider or getting an outside solution.12

Are you talking about 500min talk time or 500mb or roaming data? I don't see an add-on for talk in the travel section, only data add-on, also pay-as-you-go says talk: N/A.
I don't think you can make voice calls while in Europe, just use data and sms

Nothing to do with calling in Europe but calling from Canada to Europe10
-
There is no option to buy 500 Minutes to call Internationals . I think that you bougth 500 MB in data.
For international calls you can only buy in $ amount not in number of minutes10 -
Here is a snapshot of Netherlands ( for example ) International call Add-on option.
It's in Dollar11 -
There sure is option to purchase international calls you need to look harder10

@ M T. When I signed up I was able to select 1000 minutes to the Netherlands, costing me $5 per month. I can now see it in my account page (though it says 100 minutes instead of 1000) even if it doesn't work.
Because this is such a great deal, I figured I'd try it, but I've not even been able to place a single call so far (a month in). I feel deceived by Fizz. I understand that Beta/Intro pricing might mean some problems and issues, but not even being able to place a single call seems excessively bad, especially for a company that is basically a rebranded, existing provider (Videotron).8 -
Got it, I miss understood, strange that it shows "no data left" for voice plan.8
-
Yup, strange, waiting for response9

These must be old plan that Fizz put on by mistakes : 5$ for 500 or 1000 minutes to Europe.
They don't exist anymore.
For those of you who want to call Europe at good price I would suggest to use voice over IP
for example voip.ms offers 0.02/minute to many European countries Line land.
The price for calling Europe mobile is much more expensive : it goes from 0.10 to 0.40 per minute.9 -
They clearly exist since I'm in contact with support
Way more convenient to attach it to your plan than if you need to call any time then VOIP solution.
Got that home8 -
@ M T. If those plans were 'mistakes', they messed up big time and they should have acted the moment they discovered this by telling and refunding clients who purchased these options. Instead, I'm being told Fizz is working on the technical issue, just wait.7
-
I believe that you bought it in the past.
I'm just saying that they don't offer at the same price anymore.7 -
NO, new plan/activation Saturday7
-
Regarding voice over Ip you can use it with your cell phone if you have data plan when not a home or wifi at home. You just need to install voip client ( for example linphone that is free with no add on android )8
-
Yeah, pretty annoying and you need good data connection at that time9
-
Gotta let Fizz know via chat bubble or FB - that’s just crazy, it should work.7
-
One would hope they would issue instant credit for the month if it doesn't work but that's. not the case.
Pretty crappy service if you ask me6 -
No replies from support, ticket 7144
The slogan should be:
Cooperation WOULD BE a beautiful thing6 -
My ticket, #3560, is also still unanswered.7
-
@MT Fizz still offers 500/1000 min international calls for $5 (see screenshot)4

Still not working and no reply from support except this generic BS

UPDATE
SADLY NO LONGER WORKING
I like to THANK to Fizz for fixing this issue my plan is now working fine as it should
Also received email that I will be credited for the time it did not work
GREAT JOB FIZZ!3 -
Well, spoke too soon, got interrupted in middle of call and wasn't able to dial the same number again
PROBLEM IS BACK1 -
Just to update... STILL NOT WORKING!
Only silly answers from support like please reboot your phone and did you dial the right number?
SERIOUSLY FIZZ ???!2 -
I just saw a ticket in French forum (https://communaute.fizz.ca/questions/1911871-appel-international) complaining about international calls (5$/ month), I'm wondering if your problem has been resolved or not0
-
It's sort of working, but I'm not even close to getting the 1000 minutes. I think I called 200 minutes this month and it's not working anymore. Probably because they created a workaround which gives me 100 minute-batches, and they only gave me 3. Two of them are gone now (used up) and the third one doesn't seem to work.1

I'm experiencing the same challenge. I'm paying an extra 5$ on my monthly plan to have 500 minutes long distance calls to Israel, but when I call to Israel, I get a message saying 'your plan does not allow you making this call'. can anyone help out on this issue? since that Fizz does not provide customer support.1
