The Ottawa area did the beta testing with Fizz already back in late 2018 and early 2019 when Fizz was being launched. As far as beta testing is concerned, there is no difference between QC and customers in the Ottawa Area.
-
Yes, you're right. The phone tab is available only if you select QC as your province. Fizz is expanding to ON, AB, and BC but it becomes more and more like a QC-only service. The wallet is available only to QC customers. To see the phones, you need to select QC as your province. I am in the Ottawa area, and I have been…

Yes, calls, texts and data work in Canada and the USA if you subscribe for the Can/USA plan. Outside Canada and the USA, data will work if you buy an international data add-on for a specific country/region. Incoming texts are always free and work globally as long as your phone is not off and is not in airplane mode.

I bought the Galaxy S23 Ultra from Fizz last year, so it is not a device issue. Before, I was using the Galaxy A52 5G (also bought from fizz), it was the same issue with weak LTE signal at my place. You understand that if your calls go through the LTE network and the LTE signal is weak, it will result in dropped calls. I…

VoLTE is not good news for me. I do not have strong signal where I live. I ordered and activated the VoLTE SIM but calls keep dropping because of the weak LTE signal in my area. Now I have to subscribe to a second provider with WIFI calling and forward the Fizz calls to the new number.
-
I am good and thank you for asking. How are you doing with Fizz? Do you link it so far?
-
Whenever I do that, I am getting a pre-recorded message saying: ''This call cannot be completed as dialed, please check the number and dial again ''
-
Where do you enter it? On the phone keypad and then you hit the call button on the keypad?
-
Ok, thanks @Andrei_ref_R7VK1 , I have a Samsung phone.
-
@ah727 , How to launch the phone info menu? What is it exactly?
-
The reason why I asked is because it hasn't been working for me
-
Ok, thanks, guys. I do not follow the forum. I come here only when I have questions
-
The toggle should be there when you are not making calls. Can anyone see it? Please do not rush to answer just to score points.
-
Who did the network settings reset? customer service or the customer? because CSR told me that the activation was correct as far as they see on their end.
-

-
The best thing to do is to chat with CS and let them know. Sometimes the Fizz system does not read what is on your account properly

My free VM upgrade disappeared from my upgrade list. I thought it was due to the revamp of the reward program. I don't use/need it anyway.

You need to go to my plans, then manage, then adjust my plan, there you have to remove your voice, data, text plans. It will take effect next cycle. At that point, you will put money in your wallet and use it as you go
-
Don't pick a plan; You need to buy minutes add-ons. 300 mins cost $10. You need to to go to my plans, then manage, then select add-ons. There you can buy minutes add-ons, texts add-ons or data add-ons.
-
Cameron, I see your point. When you go to the travel and pick pay as you go in the USA, they give you the rates for texts, minutes, and data. The rates are different depending on the country. So what Fizz posts under wallet is not right and is confusing . Money in your wallet should work in the USA. To be safe, I would…
-
Your wallet will work only within your coverage area. For the USA, you need travel add-ons or travel pay-as-you-go. You need to go to myplans, then manage, then travel to buy travel add-ons or travel PAYG.

I received 2 alerts in Ottawa: the first one for Quebec (around 1:50) and the second one for Ontario (around 2:50)
-
-
@ FizzO1 & Alfio: Check this out https://www.cannettel.com/Plan/Cable and compare with Fizz. I've been using it in Ottawa.
-
What does that mean exactly for the Ottawa/Gatineau customers?
-
If you live in the Rockland area where Videotron has been providing internet services, you may consider Fizz internet. As for the Ottawa city, Fizz internet is not competitive at all.
-
@ David: Please accept my apology! I misread your message and I was not trying to insult you or to be sarcastic. I thought you needed more data on cell for now in order to run your computer until your home internet is fixed. I will delete the post.
-
Je suis confronté au même problème. J'ai dû contacter Fizz hier, même le représentant du service à la clientèle n'arrivait pas à le modifier. Il a eu le même message d'erreur.
-
Yes you can and good for you, Christian. What's the temperature like down there now?
