B77WS thank you very much.

@FizzyFizz JQMPM yes I was hesitating because of my current lower plan cost. Thank you I've decided not to add "Canada + USA" coverage as it turned out the campsite (conference location) doesn't have good coverage anyway. I would be paying for bad coverage. LOL
-
@jiyingss but add-on data is $12 for 1gb where I usually pay about $27/month + taxes for everything and now $29/month for the USA coverage (along with Canada). I think it's still worth the $2 + taxes difference (less I probably will only use data predominantly). Nothing is decided yet but thanks for pointing out the add-on…
-
Thank you @Pascal for your explanations.
-
@Pascal Thanks great to know. So no worrying about roaming issues since it's already in the plan. Then why the "International calls" option then? It would be outside Canada & USA? Such as France, Mexico etc.?
-
Thank you @Jess_i88b6 I have a few more questions from your answers Q#1 how do I enable data roaming on an iPhone? I've never done it before. Do I enable the data roaming once I land in Italy? Or do I do it when I'm at the Canadian airport? Sorry I'm not clear on this point. Q#2 Just double check. I don't do anything…

Love to hear your experience. Yes if I get an eSim card, then it's possible to use it for data to load the bank webpage, then receive the 2FA security code text on the Fizz sim card. (I have no eSim experience though. I'm just assuming in theory.)
-
Ah just thought of something. New issue. I probably don't want to access any banking institution on any wifi, so even if I can receive a 2FA text on my phone, I should not be logging into my bank account at that time. Plus my phone only allows 1 slot for sim.
-
@catostrichpeaceful Good to know indeed. Have you tried this when travelling?
-
Thank you @Sébastien code ZXEL1 & @catostrichpeaceful
-
Thank you. @Sébastien code ZXEL1 So it's free to receive a text when I'm in Europe? Also then as long I don't answer send a text or pick up a phone call or check voice mail, then no charges? In other words, I don't have to turn on my airplane mode? If feels like it's too good to be true. Sorry for double checking with more…

Thank you @Fling & @Ihssan for all your help! :-)
-
Thanks Vasiok. So i still have to log into my Fizz account to see my usage. Is there somewhere in the Fizz account to set up notifications when my data is less than certain percentage?
-
Thanks @Dapfizzer
-
@Jessy_ref_i88b6 Can I ask for your advice? So would you suggest not to change plan from month to month and leave things as it is to run into the potential trouble of plan increase by Fizz? (My monthly plan consists of Canada wide unlimited minutes & text; visual voice mail & 1 gb data)
-
Thanks @Jessy_ref_i88b6 and thanks for the reminder of the pricing matter.
-
Oh well I tried. It'll be wasted as I have no use. Thanks @Jessy_ref_i88b6
-
Forgot to say that I get the "Error performing request Unknown Error" after typing either of the "verification on iphone" numbers or "editing on iPhone" numbers.
-
@shirin Just sent you 1 gb data
-
Hmm it won't let me as you don't have a mobile data plan.
-
@marcracine01 I'll send you 1gb.
-
Thanks @Jessy_ref_i88b6
-
@Jessy_ref_i88b6 Good to know. Thanks. How do I clean the Waze cache on an iphone?
-
@Dapfizzer Hmm with the French link it all works (opens up) except for the chatting. Improvements indeed. I'm using what'sapp (your previous reply) to chat/report issues. Thanks again.
-
Yeah good news for spring :-)
-
@brouleau21 coverage is fine. phone company is Fizz. It's an unlocked phone. It might be a one off thing. Thanks for replying.
-
@Dapfizzer Sorry I can't open the chat (last option on the page https://fizz.ca/en/faq/status-services ) I've pause my blocker. What else to try?
-
Thank you @Dapfizzer I will give it a try as in the past any opened ticket on issues don't really get solved.
-
Thank you @Emporium It seems my current plan $39 (Data 6 GB | Minutes Unlimited | Texts Unlimited | Coverage Canada | Visual Voicemail Yes) is not as good as now it's $39 with 9 gb data...other options stay the same. Also is there an easier way to see the end date of the data be it rolled over or not (instead of expiring…
-
Thanks @emporium @Fling Got it visual voicemail is the current term. So if I want to have voice mail, I must choose "visual voicemail", otherwise I would NOT have any voicemail in my mobile plan. Am I understanding it properly?
