Outgoing port to Fizz stalled/abandoned – line stuck on releasing carrier side

I tried to port second line with Rogers and initiate a port-out to Fizz, but ultimately didn't complete it as my Rogers # wouldn’t receive the port out request, I ended up choosing a new number with Fizz. Rogers now says the second line cannot be cancelled because an outgoing port request remains open with Fizz, locking the number in the NPAC/LNP system.
Since the port was initiated by Fizz, Rogers front-line support says only Fizz can pull back or cancel the pending port-in order on their end to release the system lock.

Could a Fizz rep or community member advise on the fastest way to get support to formally cancel/purge this pending port request? Thanks!

    Hello sgtsv47

Thank you for letting us know about this situation.

I verified your account and I can see that the transfer request was indeed cancelled when you completed the activation with a new phone number. There is no other transfer request associated with your current Fizz account.

If your current provider still sees a transfer request in progress you should check if you made other requests under a different Fizz account. If you don't have any other transfer request in progress under a different account you should explain this to the support team from your current provider.

I recommend checking out this FAQ for more details: I’m having problems transferring my current phone number to Fizz. Why? What can I do? | Fizz
