Upgrading iPhone - What about the SIM?

Hi all.

I intend to upgrade my current iPhone (Model 11, has one physical SIM slot) to an iPhone 17 which has NO physical SIM slot, just eSIM.

Can this be done? And how?

Thanks!

Hi, no problem. transfert your SIM to Esim.

    Go to https://zone.fizz.ca/dce/customer-ui-prod/account/plan
Manage my plan -> Change my SIM. Follow the instructions.
Make sure to install the eSIM in your phone within 30 minutes after ordering and that your phone is connected to WiFi while installing.
Please be aware that it will take 30 minutes and possibly a phone reboot for the new eSim on the new phone to activate. DO NOT delete the new eSim from the new phone if it doesn't seem to work at first.

    Hello @_Michel ,

Thank you for your interest in our services.

Rest assured as you can use an eSIM with Fizz, if the phone does not have a physical SIM card slot. To make this swap, simply access your Fizz account under My plans - Manage plan - Change my SIM. From there, you can choose the eSIM. @G225 code IRSGE already provided the necessary details related to this process.

As the SIM change order is initiated, you will receive an email from Fizz with a QR code. Please scan the code and allow the activation time of 30 minutes to pass. Once this time passes, please make sure that the Fizz eSIM is set to primary and then restart the phone. You can switch to Esim and give your SIM to your friend who need it.
