Is it normal I receive random phone calls??
I never share my phone number with anyone, except for work HR.
Is it normal I receive some random calls? Some are numbers I don't know and some are spam calls.
Does this happen to anyone else?

Yep Happens all the time. Scammers or telemarketers nothing you can do other then blocking all calls from unknown numbers so you only receive calls from people in your contacts list. it somewhere in the setting of you phone at least on android not sure about apple. Just blocking 1 number at a time is pointless as they will just call from a different number.

Yes it happens more often if you share your phone number with shady businesses or online, but some level of spam is to be expected anyway as some scammers and data brokers do random bulk calls and the moment you pick up they get confirmation the line is active and the call disconnects.

Unfortunately, I’m afraid that receiving random phone calls has become the norm now. Personally, I never answer unless I recognize the number.
If you do answer, I would recommend letting the caller speak first to listen to what they want. It happened to me a few times before that no one was talking on the other side and I suspect they were trying to steal my ”voice” for fraudulent purposes. Be careful. ☹️

Yes, it's pretty common. I have a certain sense of satisfaction when the caller hangs up when Call Screen asks why they are calling.
