Has iPhone 7 stopped working with fizz?

I have an iPhone 7 that I hadn't used in a while, but recently had to pop my sim into. I can't make or receive phone calls. I had a look around on the fizz website, and it seems that although iPhone 7 is not technically certified for VoLTE to work with fizz, people have reported it working. Has this changed recently or is there a problem with my phone?

Is the sim card still active?

It is possible that the Fizz 3G network has been deactivated in your area.

Could be, it's just that I've seen people mentioning that they were able to get VoLTE on their iPhone 7, is that no longer the case?

Have you checked if the latest updates have been installed on your iPhone 7?

Yes, the phone is on the latest version of ios available to iPhone 7, and the carrier profile under Settings -> General -> About is Fizz 50.

The #8378 doesn't work for me, I can't make the call in the first place, and my phone is the north American version.
That's very interesting that iPhone 7 plus shows up as VoLTE certified. Come to think of it, all the other comments I saw were for the 7 Plus actually, rather than the regular 7.

    Hello hadimz,

Thank you for describing your situation to us.

Since you said that the #8378 test failed, which means that your phone is unfortunately Fizz VoLTE-certified, which means that the phone won’t be able to connect to calls properly.

You can see more details about this here: https://fizz.ca/en/faq/compatible-devices.

If you have more questions regarding this situation, you can contact us privately by using this FAQ: https://fizz.ca/en/support.

I hope you have a pleasant day!
