I don't live in the Fizz residential Internet service zone, but the plan that Fizz recommends for me is for 400 Mbit/s downloads and 50 Mbit/s uploads.

I have a slightly cheaper plan with another provider. Download speeds are slower, but upload speeds are faster. So far, that plan is working well for me.

I appreciate the effort on the tool but I don't think it's quite right. Or maybe Fizz' plans options are just very limited? But I don't think anyone should be paying $40/month just to browse emails a few hours a week...

    Hello @tbe3000 ,

    Thank you for your feedback.

I understand your point, and I can appreciate that $40/month may feel like more than you'd like to pay if your internet usage is limited to checking emails and light browsing.

At the moment, the $40/month plan is the most affordable internet option we offer. While it may not be the perfect fit for every usage profile, I appreciate you sharing your thoughts, as customer feedback helps us better understand our members' needs and expectations.

If you have any questions about our available plans, please don't hesitate to let us know.

Thank you for taking the time to share your perspective.

If your Internet usage is indeed that limited, maybe you don't need home internet and can just hotspot if you want Internet on a device other than your cellphone?

There have been no plans or mentions of Fizz expanding home internet out west.

The quiz recommends two plans for me:

    • $58/month for 500 Mbit/s down and 50 Mbit/s up
    • $68/month for 940 Mbit/s down and 50 Mbit/s up

Personally, I find that these plans are too fast for me! I do not have Vidéotron or Fizz as a home ISP in my area, but I believe that the best plan for me would be 50 Mbit/s down and 10 Mbit/s up. It's more than enough to watch HD videos on a few devices at once, plus remote work and online school. Fizz has a similar plan, but it's 30 Mbit/s instead of 50. It's slower, but at $40/month, it's budget-friendly! I hope that some time soon, plans are updated across the board to have higher upload speeds.
