Is there an iPhone RCS dropped messages workaround?

We know RCS for iPhone isn’t supported. This results in messages being dropped at the provider with no indication. Wondering if there is anything that can be done to ensure I receive texts. People have been reaching out and thinking I’m ignoring them and I have know idea!

Is there anything that can be done besides switching to android or asking every android contact to disable RCS in our chat?

    Hello wizardofkoz,
I am sorry to hear about this issue.
he reason your messages are disappearing is because your phone number is likely still trapped in Google's central RCS database. Android phones see you in that database and try to send you a data packet instead of a standard text, leaving the message stuck in limbo.
You can fix this instantly by forcing Google to remove your number from their system:
Go to Google's official web portal: google.com/messages/disable-rcs
Scroll down to the 'Without your previous device' section.
Enter your phone number and click Send code.
Enter the 6-digit verification code you receive on your iPhone to complete the process.
This forces all Android devices to immediately drop back to standard SMS when texting you. Once done, restart your phone and have an Android friend send you a test text!

Thank you for your understanding and cooperation!
