Internet offer is cheaper when I'm not logged in

So, the the 400MBps internet plan is 49$/month but as soon as I log in it becomes 53$/month.
What kind of BS is that and how do I get around it? I know I'll be able to apply some rebates through my rewards (I'm a fizz obile customer since the early days) but still... Anything else that can be done?
Also, for those would have moved from another service provider, how was the transition from DSL to Cable (I've been on Distributel DSL for 11 years)? I own a good recent router too, would I be able to use it easily with Fizz internet?
Thanks!

    Hello romain C. #8601,
    Thank you for your message.
The price for the 400MBps download and 50 Mbps upload speed is $53 since 09/03/2026.
I will let this thread open for the other users that want to answer to your second question since it is related to the transition from DSL to coaxial cable.
I hope you have a pleasant day!

Hi Mihai, thanks for your reply. I think I got it mixed up actually cause if I'm not connected an looking at the 200MBps plan for 49$ and I login, it then directly shows me the 400MBps plan for 53$, so that's my bad!

I went from another cable provider to Fizz and contacted them to cancel after I activated my Fizz internet. Many years ago I switched from DSL to Fizz's parent company and I don't recall any issues.

I also use my own router. You will need to log into the Fizz modem and set it to bridge mode. Here's more info: https://fizz.ca/en/faq/how-can-i-use-my-own-wi-fi-router-fizz

The offer is just for the new clients.

I switched from DSL to Cable, no problems.
It probably depends how congested your area is whether you will have speed issues.
