The website says "5G cell phone plans
Jump on our 25 GB plan." but the 25GB plan Ontario is 4G.

The text probably wasn't updated when the plans pricing changed.

You are correct. For Ontario, you need to buy the $35 plan to get 5G. The advertisement is confusing.

Yeah they change their prices a little faster than they change their ads / writing sometjmes lol so some things get missed, but 5G with fizz is very new in general

    Hello bjlockie,

Thank you for reaching out about our 5G plans.

To clarify, our 5G plans start with plans that include at least 35 GB of data. This has not changed.
The advertisement you saw highlights the 25 GB plan currently available in Ontario, as this is a new promotional offer, but it does not state that the 25 GB plan includes 5G access.

At the moment, 5G coverage is not available throughout all of Ontario. After checking your address, we can confirm that you are currently located in an area covered by 4G rather than 5G.

We invite you to consult our coverage map for more details here: https://fizz.ca/en/coverage

We apologize if the advertisement may have caused any confusion. We hope this explanation helps clarify the situation.

If you have any further questions, please don’t hesitate to contact us via live chat here:

We’re always happy to help 😊
    Thank you for understanding!

    Have a good day!
