App crashing on Google TV

App shows splash screen, then dies.
Tried reinstalling. Could never get passed the activate screen after multiple attempts.
Back to app splash screen and app dying.
Can’t use the app anymore, making my subscription useless.

It's a real shame about all these problems.

Any updates ? I have the same problem on 2 devices and I won’t be doing a factory reset, I would rather change fizz. All other apps are working so factory reset is not a solution at all.

Invested my time doing a full factory reset, reinstalling all my other apps, config, etc and the result is still the same.
Like @Sylvain M. #546 said, all other apps were and are still working great.
Only fizz is problematic.

If you cast with mobile is work but update soon for this problem.

Same here with google tv. Cant get it open. Hopefully they release an update soon

Maybe you shouldn’t leave feedback like this without knowing the actual fix. Factory resetting a device can be pretty disruptive to many users and doesn’t solve this issue.

This does work!! Great work around thanx!! App has been crashing for weeks, today would pop up then shutdown.. uninstalled would not get passed the auth screen, did it several times, powercycled device.. nothing worked.. and I will not factory reset my google streamer because 1 app does work.. as someone else mentioned.. please fix this.!!!

I reset my Google Chromecast with Google TV and it still doesn't work. I can't wait for this problem to be solved.

Here is that I have just received technical support
"We have just received this information regarding the issue with the Fizz TV package. Our technical team is aware and is looking for solutions to this problem. I suggest using Cast TV or Airplay to stream the content from your mobile phone to Chromecast. The casting feature works. This is a temporary solution."

Same problem with Chrome TV. I re-installed with no success. WAITING for update... Please let us know when it's done. This app has worked flawlessly for me since day one, but now I am really disappointed with the update that does not work and no mention from the support team.

Same here, can't even preview the features as Guest, app is immediately crashing. There were multiple reports of this bug, maybe it's time to roll back the update and deploy previous stable app version?

Having the same issue since this afternoon. Maybe Fizz should be acknowledging the issue and providing status at this point?

For reference, the crashing Google TV Fizz app is running version 2.1.51.271. Until the developers release a new patch, further troubleshooting is unlikely to help.
