"Your balance is too low"?

Just trying to troubleshoot... using Textra on a Samsung phone. This morning, every time I try to send a photo or a gif, I get a "your balance is too low" error message. Not sure if this is a Fizz glitch or a Textra glitch... any help would be so appreciated! :)

(I checked and I'm not "over" any data...)

    Hi @jengee,

Do you have the same problem with the message application supplied with your phone?

    Hi @jengee

The error message "Your balance is too low" when attempting to send multimedia messages (MMS) using the Textra app on your Samsung phone is likely due to the app's settings. Textra requires an active data connection to send MMS, even though sending MMS itself doesn't consume your data allowance. If mobile data is disabled or restricted for Textra, you may encounter this error.

Is your data working for the other apps?

Thanks for answering so quickly everyone! I just checked with the default messaging app, and it does the same thing as well. I also checked my mobile data settings and everything seems to be in order...

If you are using any other application with the wifi disabled, are you able to use internet?

    What phone are you using?

Hi, what plan do you have?

If you don't have an unlimited texting plan, you need money in your wallet or an add-on.

I had the same issue. It happens when your wallet has no more money (or less money than the cost of action) and your action (sending) need to be paid; for ex. you don't have text on your plan and try to send text (same if you have no voice, but receive a voicecall).
