Paying phone + plan (apparently its not included) with affirm

I reached out to customer support to understand why I need to pay an additional amount for activating my SIM. I was told it's $X per month. I purchased a phone and plan financed through Affirm, which totals around $51 per month. The iPhone 13 itself costs $19 per month, and the plan adds about $22, bringing the total to roughly $51 after taxes.

However, it seems that this total includes the phone plan as part of the Affirm loan balance, meaning I’m paying $51 per month for the phone and plan through Affirm. The phone plan is apparently not supposed to be part of the loan, as you can't finance a phone plan with Affirm. To make matters more complicated, you have to pay for your "real plan" upon activation.

So, in reality, I’m paying for both: the Affirm loan (for the phone + plan) and the actual phone plan, which totals around $70 per month.

This situation feels unnecessarily confusing and frustrating. At this point, I'm considering switching to Freedom after this experience.
