Leaving for an extra-long vacation or planning to be away from home for a while? Well, you can now put your Internet plan on pause.
How this works:
- Your plan can be put on pause for up to 6 months.
- Putting your Internet plan on pause is done directly in your Fizz account > My plans > Manage plan > Pause my plan.
- Your plan will be automatically reactivated on the date you had requested, and its price will be the same as when it was put on pause.
- If you change your mind, you can change your reactivation date anytime or even reactivate your plan yourself instantly directly in your account.
- The price of a pause, no matter how long, is $10 (plus applicable taxes).

Great news, I don't have an internet plan with Fizz yet (not because I prefer another company, my building includes free internet access) but this would definitely be one thing that makes it more likely I'd stick with Fizz if I do. Being able to do this with phone plans would be great too.

Yeah pretty sick like feature, for mobile I guess you can pay the minimum if not using for awhile like opting everything out and simply keep the line on your provincial area which is something like $12 I believe

The pause system is broken.
I initially paused the plan on October 27th, up to December 31st, because the calendar was broken and wouldn't let me go past that date.
Around the middle of December I went back and extended the pause to may (exact date unknown), since that's around when when I'll need it again, and basically the limit of 6 months continuous.
Today I was charged for a "refill" and email support is treating me like an idiot refusing to acknowledge anything.
Great service, Great company, and don't forget, support saying "Thank you for your understanding" is HR speak for "you're not very smart" (not sure if i***t is banned here)0 -
