Are wifi calls possible now that we have VoLTE ?
Hi everyone,
I understand that VoLTE and wifi-calls do not rely on the same network but I was hoping that the recent VoLTE migration might have unlocked the wifi-calling feature. Did anyone have any success in making wifi calls after the VoLTE migration?

If you joined Fizz after March 16, 2022 you are already on VoLTE. You can test it by turning off your Wi-Fi and making a call. If it remains 4G or LTE you are good, if it shows 3G or H+ then there's an issue.

I joined July 2022, and calls drop to UMTS frm LTE.

Can you check if you have VoLTE activated in the phone settings? If it's already activated, then there is an issue, you can contact customer support to check.

if you upgrade your sim to Volte on june2023 most probably your plan is not migrated to VoLTE yet
yiu have two options wait the email or contact the support and ask to migrate
the customer service can force the process

In the previous post it was mentioned that he/she joined Fizz in July 2022, so theoretically his/her account should be already on VoLTE but who knows 🤷🏻.

Since @Abdell joined Fizz on July 2022, what does means "New sim card" and the card was updated?
Moreover, he joined with a new a VoLTE SIM or a SIM given from someone or an old SIM. Never mention, on my knowledge, that the SIM was a VoLTE one

Thank you for follow up. I joined Fizz on July 2022. I have a sim card with lightning logo. I have a Samsung Galaxy A53. The phone has latest software update of June 2023. Still, during a call the phone drops to UTMS from LTE. Also, in setting, I can see IMS registration status : Not registered (during, and after a call)
