LTE network in barrhaven
I asked a question in march about why my lte service is so poor in Barrhaven Ottawa. I was told that it was because of network testing and it should be cleared up soon. I think the testing is over, and the LTE coverage is still a problem.
If, however, i drop my connection down to 4g the issues are all solved. the calls are clear and easy to understand.. I am believing now that there is problem with the configuration of the LTE tower in Barrhaven. When I am anywhere else in the city, on LTE, I have no issues.
I don't know what could be done though.

What do you mean by 4G?
LTE is in fact 4G Long Term Evolution.
On your phone in the network preferences make sure you have not selected 5G. The preferred network should be set to 4G LTE.

Exactly, 4G is LTE.

On my galaxy s21, when I select WCDMA/GSM, it connects to make calls. I assume it's because it's not using VoLTE. But the connection icon still shows 4g. Maybe it means 3g? But with way VoLTE and LTE data is terrible in Barrhaven. I will have to open a support ticket.
