How often do you change phone?

I changed mine recently even though my previous phone was only two years old. But it was not VoLTE compatible and Fizz offered me deal in addition to a rebate on the phone that I could not refuse :)

It was probably still not whitelisted by Fizz because any smartphone that is just two years old should be VoLTE compatible.

You are right, it wasn't.

4 years it’s the maximum! After that, your phone becomes slower and all the apps rushing out

My phone has been released in 2019 and is still snappy as the first day... If Fizz would allow me to use it by enabling volte, I will probably change the battery in one year and keep using it for as long as I can
0 -
Sure! That’s the better thing la to do

i keep my last one for 5 years but i replace the battery one time. But after that, is really about time to replace my phone 🙃

I change mine when a member of my family is changing their phone and my phone become too old to support updates or if it has other problems
For now, I am happy with it

I think it really depends buy the quality of phone you buy. If you buy a top tier one is more probable is gonna last 4-5 years, even more especially by changing the battery once or twice...

About every 2-3 years, using a vivo x note
0 -
That's about the average time I guess...

Usually every 2 to 4 years

4 years is a good amount of time! good for you!

Normally, i change my phone every year.

I change every 4 to 5 years.

That's really being at the forefront of innovation!

Nice that so many people nowadays manage to keep their phone for so many years! Smartphones are way more durable now!

Especially when you buy a phone with a powerful processor like the Samsung S series for example.

I kept my Samsung S8 for 8 years and just upgraded to a preloved S21 FE which I bought for $200 from Fizz with the 25% discount.
0 -
That's good. And how is picture quality when you compare both phones?
0 -
8 years is great! I wish you can carry on 8 more years with your new preloved phone!
0 -
I keep it as long as it lasts!

This is a very environmental-friendly approach!

I change it as often as i change my car. What does that mean? It means that if something breaks on it or the battery starts getting old, i’ll replace it. I basically use it till it’s absolute trash. In the past 12 years i had 2 iphones

Nice! Do you usually replace the battery before replacing the phone?
0 -
I have the same phone since 2019 hehe
0 -
Nice me too!!! What phone, if you don't mind sharing?

iPhone 11 :)

Most of iPhones models are so reliable... they just keep going.. after a few years you just replace the battery and you are good to go for a few years more
0 -
Always, it’s the same thing as a car. However iphone has made repairing your phone not so fun anymore.
0 -
That is true for all smartphones nowadays... you've got to use a case and a screen protector to avoid damage so the only reason to open it up is to replace the battery every 3-4 years
0 -
Yep, nothing is made to last nowdays, however there are two type of peoples. The one that replaces and the one that fixes it
0 -
You are right! I always try to fix everything but sometimes you have to give up and just buy a new one
0 -
Yep had that happened to me once on my iphone 6 plus
0 -
You mean about giving up?
