Porting in number error: please try again
I am having the same error in this thread who gave up on the porting :
I have chatted with support and got a ticket last night. There hasn't been any update yet, and my number is from a group plan where everyone else already finished their porting except me and tonight the plan will get cut off, after which my current number will no longer be active for porting and I will lose that number. 😢
What is the cause of this try again error and did someone actually help to fix the issue from the thread above?

I also tried to use a new number and end up the same try again error. I'm flying out of town tomorrow and really need to get this worked out before then. This is for my mom's cellphone and it's a matter of life and death for her to have a working cellphone when I am away from her. After the plan cut tonight her current plan won't work anymore and this fizz account is stuck!!!

You should describe your problem
When you try to activate a SIM card, the card is locked for (at least) 2 hours, therefore, please wait two hours before try again.
If you don't care to give a new number, wait 2 hours, using a browser in private mode try to take a new number
Keep in mind, if you pick a new number, you will not be able to transfer the number in the same plan

The Porting error was from yesterday

Probably the SIM is associated with the pending porting, you check in your account to see if you have a plan in pending activation

Yes it is in activation pending state as the first try of porting failed because the transaction request TXT came after 3hrs and was dismissed. Then I tried to port again after the failure last night and run into this error.
So it's very possible the sim card is still locked in the previous failed porting request?

And I had a notification to use a new number, but that bumped into the same error.

I believe that you need to wait the support, since a pending activation cannot be unsubscribe

Got an email and notification to contact support and nope the ticket is still not updated and the support tried to port and failed with the same error... False hope really hurts, sigh

This is the third day. Plan was cut and my number is lost. 😞 Still no update on the ticket filed 2 days ago, and I was told it had been set to highest priority.
