Dear officers,

I would like to know if there is any promotion for SIM in Montreal?
If not yet, may I know will there be some promotion, during boxing day or Christmas?
If some metro station provide $5 SIM, may I know which metro station in Montreal?

And if I transfer my mobile agent to Fizz and keep my phone number, should I contact the previous mobile agent to close my service? If possible, could Fizz help me to do it?

As far as I know Fizz offered a rebate on the Sim card a few weeks or months ago, so you have to check regularly. But if you use a referral code, as @Jess_i88b6 suggested, and get a 25$ bonus on your second payments, it is still a good deal. Perhaps Fizz will even increase the referral bonus in the near future. Everything is possible 😊

Yes, you just missed it. Fizz offered a 5$ sim card at certain metro stations until November 26.

Regarding transferring your number to Fizz, it's a straightforward process. When you sign up with Fizz and choose to keep your existing phone number, Fizz will handle the transfer process for you. Here’s what you need to do:

    1. Have Your Current Account Information Handy: Make sure you have your current mobile account number and other relevant details. This will be needed to authorize the transfer.
    2. Do Not Cancel Your Current Service: It's important not to cancel your current mobile service before the transfer. The account must be active for the number to be ported successfully.
    3. Initiate the Transfer with Fizz: When you sign up for Fizz and choose to keep your number, you'll be prompted to provide details for the number transfer. Fizz will then coordinate with your previous provider to transfer your number.
    4. Wait for the Transfer to Complete: This process can take a few hours to a couple of days. During this time, your old SIM will work until the transfer is complete. Once it's done, your old service should be automatically canceled, and your number will be active on your new Fizz SIM.

    Hello TonyZhou,
    Thank you for your question,
The SIM cards are at a promotional price only if you buy one from a Vending Machine on a metro station as Jess_i88b6  mentioned in his answer.
If you get it from a store or from our website, the price is not at a promotion, it is the full price at this time.
If there will be any promotions, you will be able to see that on our website.

Furthermore, if you buy a phone, you will receive a free SIM card with it as well. In case you are interested in buying a new device for yourself or as a gift.
You can find the nearest metro station with a vending machine here: https://fizz.ca/en/prtnr/sim-card#stores

In regards to the number transfer, the steps are as follows: Make sure the number you want to transfer to Fizz, starts with a code that is in the Fizz subscription area.
The subscription area is highlighted with green on this map: https://fizz.ca/en/coverage
If the number is ok, then after you get your sim card> you go into your account> my plans> activate sim card. From there you need to press on Transfer number to Fizz and follow the steps on screen.
Important to know, that you need an active plan with your current provider in order to be eligible for a transfer.
You will need either the account number from the previous provider or the IMEI code from the last phone used with your current provider sim card.

All the steps are also explained here: https://fizz.ca/en/faq/activation-how-do-i-transfer-my-current-phone-number-to-fizz

Should you encounter any issues, you can contact us in private, using the steps provided by Jess_i88b6. We will advise you on what you need to do next.

    Thank you for your understanding!
    Have a good day!
