No rebates on 256GB phones
I've seen that now there are the Black Friday rebates on phones, and they are great. Like a Pixel 8 from 949$ to 600$ is perfect.
However, the rebates are only on the 128GB models, the 256GB are at their stock price, like the Pixel 8 256GB at 1049$ instead of having a similar rebate to out it around 700$.
Why is it that way? Is it just a mistake from Fizz and there will be rebates on the 256GB model? My main reason for changing phone is that 128GB is not enough for me anymore, even with a Google One Subscription to offload pictures. So I would like to see those rebates in the 256GB models too.

I cannot speak for Fizz, but probably they got a good price for certain phone from google
However, if you really want the 256Gb check every day probably they will lower the price when they will not have the 128Gb available

I would guess until the end of Balck Friday, like November 25. But stocks might get depleted before that too.

It's a bit of a hassle, but it may be worthwhile to purchase the steeply discounted 128GB model, sell it for a profit once the sale ends, then use the proceeds to snag the one with 256GB. YMMV, of course.

Promotions are often driven by stock levels and demand. If Fizz has a larger stock of the 128GB model or if it's less in demand compared to the 256GB model, they might offer deeper discounts on the 128GB model to encourage sales.

Also, sometimes, promotions are designed to attract customers to a specific product range. Fizz might be using the lower-priced 128GB model as a "doorbuster" to attract customers, while expecting that some will opt for the higher-priced 256GB model even without a discount.

Eugh... still looking daily to see if it's gonna be reduced at some point. Otherwise, I would need to go with the lesser rebate on Amazon and use gift card. Still hope there is a rebate and that I can use the 15% rebate.

If you can't afford a 256gb check for external memory, use internal for running all software and external for Data. I know that not all phones offer it but it's a good solution.0

Latest Google Pixel phones (not sure about the old models) don't have an external SD card slot.
