Wifi became open
Last night, my WiFi became open and no longer password needed, only 2.4Ghz available. Even if after restart , it became OK, my concern is, is it the problem of Fizz modem or router is hacked. Did you have the same experience?

Similar issues were reported previously. Try to reboot your modem first, if it doesn't help do a Factory reset.

After restart, it's ok. But again, this modem is not very reliable

I would suggest that you change your modem/router password.
I've been using Fizz modem/router for the last 4 years and never had that problem.

That's a weird situation. Anyway, it's always a good idea to change connection name and password, whatever internet carrier you are with

I have nearly 20 devices connected, it's a bit pain to connect one by one😅. But I will still do it. Security is #1.

After restart, it's OK. But I will change the name and 🔑 to see if the problem comes back, before I open a ticket. Thanks

Got the same thing on Tuesday morning (June 27th 2023). Lost internet connection. When it came back, only 2.4Ghz was active. Network had the right name, but wpa2 was obviously disabled. Couldn’t connect to modem’s web interface. I unplugged and replugged to modem to force a full reboot. All came back to normal.
Maybe Fizz pushed an update that behaves strangely on its first boot?

Could it be possible that there was a power incident (e.g. surge, brownout, blackout), that caused the issues with the modems/routers? I don't know if the affected devices were located in the same general area, or multiple areas that were hit with a power fluctuation, of course; just a thought. In my experience it is best to have the power for the modem and router (if the latter is a separate device), connected at least to a surge protector, or better, a UPS. Hope this helps!
