Is it possible with Fizz?

Fizz ask to prove your identity before authorize the SIM change. At the moment they don't offer any pin or something like that

Short answer is yes it is possible.

Can you elaborate? I am curious

to prevent no the 100%100 does not exist

This is really a good question.
Background
In case of transfer/porting a number process, it requires an SMS verification/approval in 99%. So first of all you should protect your phone/SIM card physically.
Physical protection
1. In case of a lost/stolen device, your phone should be already protected by one or several of the following methods: PINs, passwords, patterns, fingerprint scanners, face recognition, etc.
2. Protect your physical SIM. You can lock it with a numerical PIN that you must enter every time you restart your device.
Protection from Providers
Many network service providers offer Port Freeze or Number Lock to protect your mobile number from unauthorized transfer. Once activated, you can't port your number to another line or carrier unless you remove the lock.
What Fizz is doing to protect us (
spoiler don't know)Don't know the internal details, but it looks like some protection is already in place. Many users reported already that during the SIM change process they were asked to provide their current credit card, a piece of ID with their photo, etc to confirm their identity. Not talking about the selfie 😂.
Conclusion
First of all, count on you and on the physical protection of your phone and SIM card. Report stolen/lost phone or a suspicious activity right away.

Therefore, I don't understand you said that it is possible, I don't agree since you also posted this

When I change my SIM they never asked for a selfy, and make a copy of your IDs is not impossible (moreover, they never had this information before, therefore, my document can be a fake one)
If I really want to make a SIM swap, I don't take someone that I don't have any information, but I try someone that I know, and I find interesting to do it. But this is me :(
I really believe that Fizz should implement a 2FA not based on mobile SMS :D but something more secure after this a PIN or a simple switch to block the porting/swap

Check my Conclusion
In short: Is it possible to prevent SIM swap? - yes (partially). Will it work in 100% of time - not.

Fizz do not offer this service.
There is only one way: protecting all your personal information from Fizz account, Protect your phone ( IMEI )
If you believe your account have been compromised: always contact support,
have a SIM card handy, and make the swap with the help of the support as soon as possible!

Another solution would be to unsubscribe, ...You can unsubscribe from your plan at any time, but the cancellation will officially take effect at the end of your current payment cycle:

Totally! They should implement a 2FA authentification! They will solve many problems! And attract potential customers... 🤔
1 -
Probably is me but the question was
Is it possible with Fizz?
Yes the title was much open
My focus was not to explain what it is. If you choose to post your personal information and send IDs to someone, it is your responsibility. However, if you do follow all the necessary precautions from your side, what measures is the provider taking to add an extra layer of protection for you? I thought that this was the question

"what measures is the provider taking to add an extra layer of protection for you?"
We can defer the answer to @Whizz

The provider!? 🤔

Provider = Fizz

Yes, my question was on the provider/Fizz side of it.
If Fizz could have/implement have more security layer for a sim swap scam/attack.
1 -
Then we need to wait for @Whizz to reply. We are all users here.
2 -
the worst good in the world here thinks that fizz is doing too much
better more . that not enough
0 -
That will be very welcomed if Fizz could do that!
And they will attract potential customers, given the extra security added.
2 -
I will follow this
1 -
Good concern and discussion, interested in seeing Fizz's team response on this topic
2 -
No idea honestly... Let's see if a Fizz rep can chime in
3 -
I thought that the majority of customers are primarily concerned with finding the best price, and they have a limited understanding of security.

Please long detail it🤔. I found the long answer.

If the Fizz account is hacked, no longer access to it, how we can use bubble chat?
0 -
Don't use bubble chat... You should be able to use facebook or whatsapp however it never happened to me so I cannot be 100% sure
3 -
Messenger is easier sometimes.
0 -
Yes exactly! Facebook messenger can be used

They will for shore.

Hello Vincent D. 2078,
Rest assured that our top priorities are to provide good quality services and make everyone to feel safe using the services and site.
From our end as some members said already, change SIM's aren't made until we receive in our live chat (not social media -Facebook, WhatsApp and the others) photos with a valid ID (that contains the exact name from the Fizz account, date when it will expire, home address that also appears in the Fizz account) and of a card that is used for the payments.
If by any chance the documents doesn't appear to be legit, we can verify with a specialized department which can verify a few more details on their end that us at customer services.
In case of a transfer, besides the confirmation SMS in which you have to reply with "YES" to start the transfer process, at the moment there isn't another option available. If any of you will ever receive a transfer message that wasn't made by you, make sure you either reply with "NO", or don't reply at all to it. After this you can contact us to verify how the transfer was tried (with account number, IMEI, PIN)
We are working daily to improve the quality of the services and safety of our members. We respect everything that appears on our FAQ's, in this situation: https://fizz.ca/en/faq/activation-how-do-i-transfer-my-current-phone-number-to-fizz
For more information you can contact us anytime in private.
I am counting on your understanding and for being part of the Fizz community,
