How do we cancel a service appointment?
Hi there,
As a result of low speeds on our new install, we asked for a service appointment and chose the next 3 days for a tech to come over. We just learned of family emergency and we will not be here for the next few days. How do we cancel and receive confirmation of cancellation? We are 78 in the chat queue.

If the appointment is a service call (for repairs)
- A technician is sent to your address for a service call when your Home Internet service was diagnosed with a malfunction. After chatting with our Customer Service team, you’ll receive an email confirming the date and time slot for your appointment. Keep it for future reference because a service call does not appear in your Fizz account.
- A service call is free of charge unless you are responsible for the source of the problem. For example, you modified the installation or one of your personal equipment is faulty. Adding or relocating an outlet may also involve fees, depending on the situation. Regardless, the technician will let you know on-site if any fees apply, and these fees will be automatically charged to the payment method associated with your Fizz account.
- To modify the date or time of the service call, contact our Customer Service team using the chat bubble.

To view, change or cancel an appointment
Your technician appointments are in your Fizz account. Simply log in and under My plans > Manage plan > Appointments you’ll be able to view, reschedule or cancel your appointment, even up until the moment when the technician is on route.
You can reschedule your appointment up to three (3) times. After that, your order will be cancelled, and you’ll have to start the process all over.

- Un technicien est envoyé à votre adresse pour un appel de service lorsque votre service Internet résidentiel a été diagnostiqué avec un dysfonctionnement . Après avoir discuté avec notre équipe du service client, vous recevrez un e-mail confirmant la date et l'heure de votre rendez-vous. Conservez-le pour référence future car un appel de service n'apparaît pas dans votre compte Fizz.
- Un appel de service est gratuit sauf si vous êtes responsable de la source du problème. Par exemple, vous avez modifié l'installation ou l'un de vos équipements personnels est défaillant. L'ajout ou le déplacement d'un point de vente peut également impliquer des frais, selon la situation. Quoi qu'il en soit, le technicien vous avisera sur place si des frais s'appliquent et ces frais seront automatiquement imputés au mode de paiement associé à votre compte Fizz.

I was able to cancel it via chat. I waited an hour before I was able to chat with someone as there were more than 75 waiting in the queue.

Not too bad... you can wait way more than that. I prefer using whatsapp chat for this reason

Being new to fizz I did not know that's an option. Hopefully I won't need it.

On whatsapp it's not actually a live chat, it's more like an email... but it's very convenient especially if you are on the go
