Yes it will cause Fizz is a parent company with Videotron. They use the same equipment.

When I connect the co-ax cable the modem seems to continually search or a connection but never finds one, any advice?

Try to unplug and reconnect every cable ( are they tight enough?):

Could you please provide more details. Did you submit a moving request? Did technician come and verify the cable, etc.?
