proposition for the forum account and posts
This is a proposal for the forum's admin (Whizz) regarding the discussion on "This is the place for your referral codes. Here, and only here ⇩" and also for the same discussion on the French community.
I have noticed that some users who posted their referral codes on the first page (I checked only that one) of the discussion have not logged in for over a year. It is possible that their codes are no longer valid, and it may not be helpful for new users who are looking for working referral codes. Therefore, I propose that the admin consider removing referral codes posted by users who have not logged in for more than a year.
However, I am not suggesting that they erase the posts of users who log in at least once a year.

An account is valid for 3 years. However, if the account doesn't have a valid plan, the referral code should be disabled or at least recognized the referral to the new user. Otherwise, the user who is going to use that account will be in trouble because both accounts need to be in good standing to receive the referral.

it can be a good idea ... but it's not better to just delete the codes of subscribers who left fizz, which can be more complicated

Why do we need that thread? If someone has already arrived here, they probably already know about Fizz and can ask for a referral code if they need one to someone on the forum.

My intention with this thread was to provoke creative thinking outside the box, which can generate new ideas and possibly lead to a different way of publicizing our own code.
In the past, I have seen people offering data and even money which I found ridiculous, but at least they have stopped that behaviour.

@FizzyFizz JQMPM Because a lot people uses that thread to choose a referral code and sometimes they choose mine so I wouldn’t want to loose the opportunity of having this free bonus (25$) drop in my account once in a while…

One side of me agrees with you since I don't think someone is going to open pages in the middle of the thread. However, if we follow this thought, why have more than two pages?
On the other hand, why should I remove a post from a user with a valid referral who doesn't want to be caught in posting on every new page?
At the moment, I am still leaning towards my initial idea of removing all invalid referrals or at least accounts without a plan.

For another carrier, on reddit, they setup a thread that randomly orders all the post so every user that want to grab a code they select it randomly. Also, you are allowed to post only once and they cancel the thread and create a similar one every 3 months.
I think if you arrange it like this, it would work way better and everyone would have the same chance to be selected by a new user.

This is not bad idea
I would prefer a weighted random selection, where the more someone contributes, the more weight they are given in the selection process. (Admittedly, this may seem like a strange proposition from me :D !)

Makes sense! Since you put so much effort on the forum, you'd like to have more chances to be selected among other users! However, that setup would give the same chances to everyone which is still better than how it is now!
