Questions regarding Mobile Plans
Hi there, I have a few questions about mobile coverage and plans before I make the switch.
- I go to Stowe in Vermont quite regularly, every second weekend or so. I want to make sure that the LTE service works well in that area. I am aware that mobile connection in Stowe is very limited depending where you stand, even for locals, but I mean as a general rule of thumb, will I be able to use my phone properly while I'm there.
- If on a given month I need more data than other, can I upgrade my plan (given that it's more than 4.5 days before the payment date), and then downgrade on the following month without loosing my roll over data?
- Is there a discount for combining my home internet plan and a mobile plan? I could not seem to find the price difference for having both.
- Is there a referal code I can use for mobile referals? I already used one to join with my home internet plan, I was wondering if there is also one for mobile.
Thanks!

- LTE works in the US if you get the Canada+USA coverage on your plan, else you will need a vacation roaming add-on. (Calls and texts currently do not work in the US, ongoing issue as of July)
- You can get a data add on, which will carry over for 3 months.
- There is no discount for combining, but you will get the possibility of 3 rewards slots being unlocked for the mobile, and 3 for the home internet. So that's 6 potential rewards that can be used simultaneously.
- You may only use 1 referral code on a Fizz account. Since you activated one, that's it!

What is a Rollover and how does it work? | Fizz
Does my rolled over data instantly expire when I change my plan?
Of course not. You keep your rolled over data for two (2) complete payment cycles even if you change your plan during that time, and even if that new plan has no data.

thank you!
And just one last thing, what happens if I downgrade my plan at any given time, do I lose the accumulated data roll over?

Hello Garbyelle,
Thank you for being part of the Fizz community!
As Alexsolo said, LTE will work if you have Canada+ USA coverage. If you have a Quebec or Canada plan, you have the option to purchase travel add-ons for USA and they will start working in the moment the payment is made. For this you can go in your account at: My plans -> Manage plan -> Travel.
You can find more information in this FAQ: https://fizz.ca/en/faq/im-travelling-outside-my-coverage-zone-what-are-my-roaming-options
In this link you can see a map with the coverages: with Canada+ USA coverage the data will work everywhere that's on the map with green (Fizz own networks) or red (our partners): https://fizz.ca/en/coverage
As for your last question, you won't lose the rollover data, data from upgrades, perks if you select to adjust your plan monthly and increase, lower your monthly data. You can find information about the plan change in this FAQ: https://fizz.ca/en/faq/how-do-i-change-my-mobile-plan
Have a great weekend,
