Change of plan problem

I am disappointed to learn that in order to get higher speeds on my internet service I will have to wait until my next billing. Why you do not update immediately like other competing services

    Because this is a prepaid service. So you have already "prepaid" for your service for this month at the current speed. When you pay for next months billing, which will be at the new amount for the new speed, you will get the speed you are paying for.

    It would be more convenient for the customer if you immediately charged the difference and offered the new service. This is all computerized, I see no reason for the delay.
