    Hi

You can call to USA from Canada but you can't call from USA to Canada, Fizz said this a few weeks ago

Be advised. As of July 2022, only the LTE data network will be available in the United States. You will not be able to make or receive calls and text messages. Learn more

    Hello @ZHUJUN ,

Thank you for being part of the Fizz community!

As our members informed you already, starting with July the providers from USA removed the 3G technology used for calls and texts, so while you are in USA only the mobile data will work since it requires LTE.

You can read more about this in the FAQ: https://fizz.ca/en/faq/why-do-some-calls-and-texts-when-us-not-work

We are working to resolve this situation as soon as possible, by implementing the VoLTE services. Once they will work, you will be able to make calls and send messages using mobile data, so the LTE networks from USA will allow you to use all the services while you are there.

You can read more about the VoLTE services from this FAQ: https://fizz.ca/en/faq/why-volte-important

I am counting on your understanding and I wish you a great day,

I will have a trip in USA. You means: I can't make a call "from USA to USA", is it?

it seems that you can't, as per fizz announcement:

    No calls or texts possible.

You MAY be able to make and receive calls from and to Canada and the USA if T- Mobile has a 2G network available in the area you are calling from. You will know only when you try.

Better prepare an alternative just in case: Social media apps like Messenger, FaceTime, Google Duo, WhatsApp, Textnow...

SKYPE is not a free app. Calls in the USA and Canada will cost 3.1 cents per minute. But SKYPE can call landphones whereas social media apps sometimes are limited to confirmed mobile phones.

Receiving calls may also be an issue.

Also, you won't be able to access your voicemail box if you can't connect to a 2G or 3G network. However SKYPE will allow you to call your voicemail box and listen to and manage your messages. Just make sure you activate your dialing keyboard sound, because you must enter your PIN and you need dial tone.
